Jelka Equine Innovation Live is coming to The National Stud in Newmarket from 26-28 October 2026, giving racing and equestrian professionals the first opportunity to see a Sascotec horse treadmill operating in the UK.
The three-day event will bring together the Jelka and Sascotec teams for live demonstrations, product insights and practical conversations about controlled equine exercise.
Whether you manage a racing yard, Thoroughbred stud, veterinary practice, rehabilitation centre or performance-horse facility, the event offers an opportunity to explore how treadmill technology could support your horses and wider operation.
See the Sascotec Elite X45 in Action
At the centre of the event will be the Sascotec Elite X45, a German-engineered horse treadmill designed for professional equestrian facilities.
Capable of speeds of up to 45km/h, the Elite X45 can accommodate exercise ranging from controlled walking and trotting to higher-speed canter and gallop work. Speed, incline, decline, duration and distance can be set according to the horse and the objectives of each session.
For racing yards and studs, this level of control provides an additional way to deliver structured, repeatable conditioning alongside ridden exercise and conventional trackwork.
Potential applications include:
- Supplementary conditioning
- Controlled speed and incline work
- Repeatable fitness sessions
- Year-round exercise during poor weather
- Professionally managed rehabilitation
- Gradual return-to-work programmes
- More efficient use of staff time and yard facilities
Treadmill exercise should always be tailored to the individual horse and incorporated into an appropriate wider programme. Veterinary guidance should be sought when it forms part of rehabilitation or recovery.
Discover the Wider Sascotec Range
Visitors will also be able to speak with the teams about Sascotec’s wider range of equine conditioning and rehabilitation equipment.
This includes the Sascotec Aquatrainer, which combines treadmill exercise with the properties of water, and Horsebration, a specialist vibration platform designed to support muscle activation and conditioning.
The Jelka and Sascotec teams will be available throughout the event to discuss product selection, installation requirements, daily operation, servicing and ongoing UK support.
